اسأل، وانظر إلى الدليل

Baseerah answers your questions only from the Qur'an and authentic hadith. Every verse and every hadith is shown in full, exactly as it is, with its reference, so you can see where the answer comes from.

What it is

A reference app built on the sources themselves

Baseerah doesn't give opinions. It finds the passages that speak to your question and puts them in front of you, in a clear order of authority.

First

The Qur'an

القرآن الكريم

The Arabic text of every verse, with an English translation and the surah and verse number.

Then

Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim

صحيح البخاري ومسلم

Only the two most authentic hadith collections, each hadith shown in full with its collection and number.

On request

Tafsir Ibn Kathir

تفسير ابن كثير

A classical explanation of a verse, available when you ask for it and always labelled as a scholar's commentary.

How it works

From your question to the evidence

The search happens on your phone, so the core of the app works even without an internet connection.

  1. Ask

Type your question in English or Arabic. Voice input is on the way.

  2. Search the sources

Baseerah looks through the Qur'an and Sahih hadith for the passages that match your question.

  3. See the evidence

Verses first, then hadith, each shown word for word with its reference and the verses around it.

  4. Optional summary

An AI summary can tie the passages together. It's clearly labelled, cites every line, and can be switched off.

The name

Why “Baseerah”?

Baseerah means clear insight: seeing with understanding, not only with the eyes. The word appears in Surah Yusuf, where the Prophet is told to say that he calls to Allah upon clear insight.

أدعو إلى الله على بصيرة

Surah Yusuf 12:108 (part of the verse)

Principles

What Baseerah will and won't do

These rules are built into how the app works, not just written in a policy.

  • The sources are never rewritten

Verses and hadith are always shown from the original text. Nothing generated by software ever stands in for them.

  • Every answer has a reference

Each passage comes with its surah and verse, or its collection and hadith number, so you can check it yourself.

  • Honest when there's no match

If the sources don't address your question directly, Baseerah says so instead of guessing.

  • A reference, not a fatwa

Baseerah doesn't issue rulings. For personal religious rulings, please ask a qualified scholar.

  • Private by design

No account, no ads, no tracking. The core app works offline on your phone.

  • Careful with sensitive topics

For sensitive questions, Baseerah shows the sources only, without an AI summary.

Status

In private beta

Baseerah is being tested by a small group on iPhone and Android. A public release will follow once we've completed testing and the permissions for every text we use are in place. If you'd like to be considered for the beta, send us a short note.
